A work unit is an allowance for an agreed amount of work. It is not a fixed number of hours, pages or websites. The same task guide applies to both website support and designer plans.
1 unit: a small, agreed text, image, link or product-detail change in one existing location.
2–4 units: adapt or implement one existing section with approved design and supplied materials.
8 units: one new standard section, including original design, within existing website features.
Landing pages: add the units for their sections. Two or three new standard sections use 16–24 units, before agreed extras.
4 units: adapt a supplied newsletter template with supplied content.
8–12 units: a new newsletter design, depending on the agreed brief.
2–4 units: a simple image-editing batch, with quantity and treatment agreed first.
We confirm the estimate and scope before starting. It covers preparation, design where required, implementation, mobile and desktop checks, quality checks and publication appropriate to the agreed task. Complex functionality, bespoke imagery, sending and platform services are scoped separately.
All accepted tasks and requested revisions use one shared balance. Three new standard sections use all 24 units; other work is not added on top. Correcting our own implementation errors does not use your units.
