Let’s agree the right scope

A practical way to work together

Report it.
I’ll investigate.

Send the affected URL, what happened and any useful error message or screenshot. I’ll review the issue, confirm the scope and unit estimate, and explain the access needed.

Your private support space keeps proposed actions, approvals, dated updates and documentation together. Personal email links let you review decisions without typing a password.

Talk about your setup

Check. Start with diagnosis and confirm the systems and permissions available.

Prepare. Agree the work, verify a recoverable backup and establish how to recover outside the website administrator.

Deliver. Test where appropriate, apply the authorised change, check the result and record what was done.

A clear scope

The useful
details.

Who is technical support for?

For professionals, IT teams and agencies who need a technical partner for an existing website or agreed hosting environment. It suits fault investigation, security alerts, compatibility checks and controlled maintenance.

For regular content, campaign, page and design updates, see Website support or Designer support.

How do the monthly units work?

Basic includes 4 technical work units for £100/month, Professional includes 12 for £300/month and Advanced includes 24 for £600/month.

Units describe agreed work, rather than a fixed number of hours, plugins, websites or incidents. I estimate the complete task, including investigation, preparation, implementation and checks, before starting. Some investigations need a defined first stage before a repair can be estimated.

Accepted work and requested revisions share the same monthly balance. Correcting my own implementation errors does not use your allowance.

What access do you need?

The work I can carry out depends on the access supplied. WordPress administration allows an initial review. Hosting-panel or SSH access can provide the independent backup, diagnosis and recovery tools needed for more involved work.

I will not start an update that could lock us out without a verified backup and a practical recovery route. Infrastructure controlled by your hosting provider is handled with that provider. Access is limited to the agreed systems and authorised work.

Can you support a multisite or several domains?

Yes. We agree the domains, installations, environments and access before the service starts. A monthly allowance is shared across that agreed scope; it is not multiplied automatically by the number of domains.

Each multisite has its own dependencies and recovery requirements. I review the setup before confirming a suitable plan.

Does this include hosting or round-the-clock incident cover?

Your website can stay with its current hosting provider. Hosting fees are separate, and provider-level changes depend on its controls and support.

We agree availability and response arrangements before starting. These monthly plans do not include an automatic 24-hour emergency service or a guaranteed recovery time.

What happens when the allowance is used?

The balance refreshes on the monthly date agreed for your account. Unused monthly units do not roll over.

If the proposed work exceeds the available balance, we agree a later schedule, a revised scope or a separate quotation before proceeding. Nothing is charged automatically beyond the agreed support.

What about an existing backlog or major work?

An initial backlog, major upgrade, migration, new integration or redevelopment is assessed separately before committing to a maintenance plan. It is not assumed to fit into the first month’s allowance.

I’ll explain the scope, dependencies and recovery requirements so you can decide before work starts.
